It's Jill Kelley vs. Gasparilla organizers on Bayshore Blvd., again
The annual battle between Jill Kelley and Gasparilla organizers is on again.
Kelley, who became famous when former CIA Director David Petraeus' paramour sent her emails she considered threatening, is fighting for handicapped parking spaces for wounded veterans attending a party she and her husband Scott throw with next door neighbors Joe and Jaye Maddon.
At 1:20 a.m. Kelley put a placard on the dashboard of a family vehicle parked on Delaware in an effort to reserve space for the wounded veterans who will begin arriving around noon.
"I have over 40 wounded vets coming -Eventfest still has to accommodate them," Kelley told the Times in a text. "(and that’s not even the one that’s are born handicap that want the same accesses to the parade).
"We do this special day every year for the combat-wounded veterans....and they STILL don’t have any respect to protect their handicap on this day."
Event Fest could not immediately be reached for comment.
